I recently saw the first season of Mr. Pickles, despite seeing hatred towards it on YouTube. And, I enjoy it. I'm not a fan of Satan, not a very religious person but I think you should go into the show, expecting lots of animated gore and gross images. Sure, the show doesn't look perfect, but it isn't bad. Yes, the characters aren't that memorable, except from Mr. Pickles, though I enjoy Grandpa also. The humor is most of the time sick or black but I kinda like it. There isn't a story going on also. The best episode so far is Season 1's end. Overall Mr. Pickles isn't show for everybody, though I have fun with it. If you want some blood, black or gross humor, this show may be for you.
I have no idea where this show will go on from here, don't see how the storyline hasn't been milked in one episode but i'm open to be surprised. Where that i do love storyline above the rest of the content, the sheer recklessness it's willing to show and cause, i believe the animators folly know what they are doing. Throwing away the plane rudeness most show try to cover up with an unguided story arch, this show confronts you with what we most like in adult cartoons. Uncensored craziness and mind-blowing creativity. Leaving dignity and respect for anything in this world behind, Mr pickles has the potential to become something memorable in the adult cartoon industry. I can't speak for the episodes to come, but the pilot is certainly a must watch if you like something that deviates from the norm. it's rude, gory and has no self-control...i love it.
"This show is not for everyone" should be this show's goddamn tag-line or something. It's violent, and constantly shoves it's satanic references and disgusting body-humor down your throat AT ALL TIMES.
You need a stomach for this kind of show, and if you have it, it's really, really fun. You can't knock it for not being creative. A lot of the voice actors for characters in the show aren't amazing, but at least most of them are convincing, it's stories in each episode are, as well, average but good enough. Where it really shines is how well it handles it's violent situations and characters. One scene can go from seemingly harmless to absolute insanity in the blink of an eye, and it never feels too rushed or out of place. This is mostly due to the fact that the only scenes containing elements of torture, violence, hacking, sawing, and pretty much any other disgustingly gory act you can possibly think of are so brief and inventive in it's own sorta way, that after a while, it becomes normal within the show's confined universe.

This show makes me feel like I'm going crazy. And I like that feeling.
The jokes themselves aren't really funny but are delivered in such a graphic and disturbing way and occur so rapidly that it really kind of takes you on a weird journey and then when it's over you think "what the hell did I just watch?"
I would definitely want Mr. Pickles as my own pet though. Him and Tommy are probably the most fleshed out characters. Everybody else is an insane grotesque caricature of some awful person you probably already know and in that regard I really appreciate it's scathingly sarcastic tone in regards to stupid people in general.

Mr. Pickles is alot to handle as a show. One episode is enough to give you an idea of what else is in store for you as a veiwer. I can't tell if it's funny because of how appalling the violence is; the show is truly remarkable in twisted imagination.
Plot- Each epsiode is like a Horror show with happy go lucky main characters (The Goodman's) and an unknowingly satanic dog (Mr. Pickles). The show will always start with Mr Pickles obliterating some random, mostly airheaded innocent people- much like a horror movie. Of course the tone of the show is comedic, but it all revolves around the dogs unimaginably disgusting affairs.
Writing- Not a very funny show honestly. I really only laugh in amazement at how immensely demented it can be. There's funny elements, like how Mr Pickles always manages to seem innocent just before he is about to be exposed, or how the grandpa always seems crazy. Its really only clever in terms of violence. Teenagers would love this- it's packed to the brim with excess. Try to find one normal scene without anything even minutely gross or perverted. It won't happen.
Characters/Acting- The voice acting is good. Some likeable characters that are kinda funny, others are just overexaggerated and annoying.
Quality- Pretty damn good honestly, for being animated on Adobe Flash. It's extremely detailed, fast paced, and the violence is completely crazy. You may laugh at it, but its not for the right reasons.
Overall I would never recommend this to anyone that is easily offended by violence, anyone of strong religious faith, anyone who isnt a teenager, anyone who is looking for a cleverly humorous show. If you wanna wipe your brain, distract yourself, or have a feeling of WTF, turn this on when you can. As for me, I like it for the shock factor, but can only handle about 1 or 2 episodes at a time. I keep using the word "excessive" excessively, but that is the definition of this show.
